New songs to be recorded soon

The band has been steadily at work writing new songs for what we are calling a mini-album. We plan on releasing a mini-album of 3 songs by June. This mini-album will be part 1 of 4. We will be releasing each mini-album as digital downloads and then release a cd upon completion of all 4 mini-albums. It’s a new concept we’re going to try out. The new music is faith-based. We are writing what Chuck likes to call “God Rock”. Our favorite song out of the 3 new songs is called “It takes Faith” and it will set the pace for the new Reverse Engineers sound.  I’ve been busy writing alot of lyrics within the past few months and lyrics have been completed for the most part for 10 songs.  We’ll keep everyone posted as we get closer to the release of the new songs.  Now back to writing some more lyrics…

Mercury in Retrograde in Top 10 of the OurStage.com Contest

Mercury in Retrograde was entered in a contest on www.OurStage.com in the Rock Category and within a few short weeks it has skyrocketed to #7 (out of 568 entries). The grand prize winner out of all music channels will win a grand prize of $5,000.  The top 20 in each channel during the last 7 days of the month will enter the quarter finals and only those songs will be judged, then by the end of the month a winner will be chosen.  Voting on the site is done by having 2 songs go head to head and then you decide which songs are the best out of the 2. So while you will not be able directly vote for Mercury in Retrograde there is a good chance that it will come up when judging songs on the site. The Miracle Field Single Coming Soon

The mixing is done on our new single called “The Miracle Field”. We’re very excited about the new tune, I think we’ve raised the bar on this song.  A 45 second clip of the song will be posted on the website soon. The song is currently being mastered by Steve Turnidge (co-founder of Weedshare).  We will email everyone when a release date has been set. Stay tuned….

New Songs and a New Article about TRE!

On August 12th we went into the studio to record the drum tracks for 2 new songs. The names of the songs: The Bad Guy and The Miracle Field. We hope to get overdubs of the guitars and vocals done by the end of the month. We hope to release one of the new tracks by early October. We are very excited about the sound of the new songs and know our fans will be excited to hear the new tracks. We will be releasing them as singles as soon as they are finished.

Going into Studio in August

We have booked studio time in August to record some new music. We have about 12 different songs that are beginning to take shape. We are planning on recording 2 to 3 songs during this recording session. Just as soon as we are done mixing the tracks we will release them as singles on iTunes, this way our fans won’t have to wait until the full album is completed. Our plan is to release 1 new song every month. So get ready for some new music in the near future.
