Some of you may have celebrated EarthDay this past Friday, but many Reverse Engineers fans celebrated a slightly different holiday on Saturday — CyberDay.
What is CyberDay, you ask? CyberDay raises awareness for conservation of cyberspace, "nature’s most precious manmade resource…" You can do your part to save Cyberspace by doing little things like surfing with a friend to save bandwidth, printing out emails and mailing them to people instead of forwarding them, etc.
What?!!
Well, CyberDay was really just a publicity stunt that a band called Emmett Brown (now known as The Reverse Engineers) launched to raise awareness for something more important — their single, "Bandwidth Conservation Society."
So when we got an email last week from one of our UK fans inquiring about the long-lost single, we looked on the calendar and realized April 23rd (CyberDay 4.0) was fast approaching!
So in honor of the fourth anniversary of CyberDay, we’ve re-released the single that started it all. For a limited time, you can download the full-length CD-quality song from www.TheReverseEngineers.com (or you can download it now). This single is in Weed* format and isn’t available on any of our CDs.
And while we were digging through the vault, we also located the companion website that spawned a live television interview on TechTV and a lengthy radio interview on Online Tonight with David Lawrence.
We hope you enjoy this multimedia experience. And don’t worry, the song is fairly short, so you won’t take up too much bandwidth…
Enjoy!
